Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party service that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we use the content of the message only to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may record standard log details, including IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to operate and improve the service. Cookies or comparable technology may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited information to operate the service, resolve issues, measure traffic, and improve page usefulness. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data held by this service. Because little is retained, a request usually concerns a contact message or available log information. Use the Contact page to ask. Michigan public records held by a city, Genesee County, or the state are outside our control and follow their custodian procedures, including the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq.; protected-address questions may also involve Michigan’s Address Confidentiality Program, 2020 PA 301.
Updates to This Policy
We will post a revised policy here when the policy changes. Continued use after posting indicates acceptance of the revised version.
